Tools are listed by the server at runtime via tools/list. Names stay prefixed with aepto_ on every host.

The live catalog is always tools/list on https://app.aepto.com/mcp (currently ~62 aepto_* tools). Many writes accept domain_name when you do not know the numeric id.

How do tools map to the Platform API?

Each aepto_* tool calls the same handlers as the REST routes. Permissions match the scopes on that key or grant.

Where is setup for Claude?

MCP overview — install the official Aepto connector from Claude’s Connectors Directory (or paste https://app.aepto.com/mcp), then Sign in with Aepto.

Do discovery / analyze tools use AI credits?

Yes. Tools such as aepto_analyze_domain and aepto_ai_discovery_start consume AI credits on the account. See AI credits.
