Website monitoring & Content Monitoring

What makes Aepto different from a basic uptime ping?

Besides multi-region uptime, Aepto can run Content Monitoring (AI reads the page for MySQL/database errors, WordPress critical errors, white screens, suspension pages, and similar) and Slow Response Alerts when latency degrades vs your own baseline. Guide: Website & uptime monitoring.

Can Aepto detect MySQL or WordPress critical errors?

Yes. Enable Enable Content Monitoring on a domain monitor. It is built for cases where HTTP still looks fine but visitors see a database error, fatal/critical error screen, or blank page.

What is Slow Response Alerting?

Optional performance monitoring on each website monitor. Aepto learns a baseline for that URL and alerts when response time degrades significantly. Webhook event: monitoring.slow_response.

Does Content Monitoring use AI credits?

Automatic scheduled content checks use AI without consuming your user credit balance. Manual content analysis can. See AI credits.

Where do I turn monitoring on?

Monitoring → Monitoring Dashboard → Add Monitoring, or the Website switch on a domain under Domains → All Domains.

Domains, DNS & Theft Guard

How do I add a domain quickly?

Use Quick Add with AI under Domains → All Domains. Guide: Adding domains.

What is Theft Guard vs DNS monitoring?

Theft Guard watches for unauthorized domain changes more broadly. DNS monitoring focuses on DNS record history and change emails with modes you choose per domain.

Can I organize domains by client or project?

Yes — use folders under All Domains, then Cards or Spreadsheet view. Guide: Managing domains.

How do domain expenses and budgets work?

Open Domains → Domain Expenses for annual cost, budgets, ROI notes, email digests, and CSV/PDF export. Keep renewal pricing accurate on each domain. Guide: Domain expenses.

AI Discovery & Domain Watch

What is AI Domain Discovery?

Generate name ideas in Keyword or Brainstorm mode and check availability. Searches use AI credits. Guide: AI Domain Discovery.

What is Domain Watch?

A watchlist for names you care about but may not own yet, with alerts when status changes. Separate from your owned portfolio. Guide: Domain Watch.

Alerts & contacts

Why am I not getting emails?

Confirm the contact is verified under Domains → Contacts, and that the right notification types are enabled (website monitoring, content monitoring, renewals, and so on). Check Email history.

Can I send alerts to Slack or Zapier?

Yes — configure Alert webhooks and subscribe to events (downtime, recovery, slow response, content monitoring, and more).

Chrome, WordPress & Claude

Do the Chrome, WordPress, or Claude apps need API keys?

No. They Connect (sign in with Aepto) without pasting keys. Guides: Chrome extension, WordPress plugin, Claude connector.

How do I install Aepto in Claude?

While signed in to Claude, open claude.ai/customize/connectors/id/aepto (or Customize → Connectors → search Aepto), then Sign in with Aepto. Full steps: Claude connector.

Is Domain Anchor free?

Yes. Domain Anchor on WordPress runs without a paid Aepto plan. Optional Connect adds cloud uptime and portfolio tools; AI Content Monitoring and some extras follow your Aepto plan.

Is the Chrome Tech Stack Detector free?

Scanning the current tab is free without an account. Sign in unlocks portfolio actions; paid plans unlock Monitor, Theft Guard, AI analyze, and similar toolkit actions.

Billing & plans

Is Content Monitoring on the free plan?

Content Monitoring is a paid-plan feature. See Billing & plans.

Where do I manage payment methods?

Avatar menu → Billing, then the billing portal. Overview: Billing & plans.

Developers

Where is the API / MCP documentation?

End-user Claude install: Claude connector. Integrators: Developers for Platform API, Connect OAuth, webhooks, and MCP.

Where do I create an API key?

Open app.aepto.com/api-keys (avatar menu → API Keys / MCP). Guide: Authentication.

Are API Rate Limits the same as Platform API 429s?

No. In-app API Rate Limits watches third-party vendor quotas (Stripe, HubSpot, GitHub, and others). Aepto Platform API limits are documented under Errors & rate limits.

Developer page FAQs: Overview, Auth, API, Webhooks, MCP, Connect.
