Install (official connector)

Sign in to Claude, then open the Aepto connector: claude.ai/customize/connectors/id/aepto (logged-in Claude only).
Or in Claude: Customize → Connectors → search Aepto (Desktop and mobile work the same way).
Choose Connect / Install.
Complete Sign in with Aepto. The consent screen should show Aepto (not “Unknown App”).
Start with something real — setup, triage, discovery, or DNS — not just “list my domains.”

Team & Enterprise

An Owner enables Aepto under Organization settings → Connectors. Each member then connects with their own Aepto account. Members without permission may see Request instead of Connect.

Custom connector (optional)

If you prefer to paste a URL, add a custom connector / remote MCP server and use:

No trailing slash. Same server as the official listing — then Sign in with Aepto as usual.

Disconnect

In Claude: disconnect or remove Aepto under Connectors.
In Aepto: avatar menu → Connected apps → Disconnect for the Claude / MCP grant.

FAQ

Why does the Open Aepto in Claude link fail?

That URL only works when you are signed in to Claude. Sign in at claude.ai, then open claude.ai/customize/connectors/id/aepto again — or search for Aepto under Customize → Connectors.

Do I need an API key for Claude?

No. The official connector and custom connectors use Sign in with Aepto. API keys are for other hosts or scripts — see Authentication.

Is this different from the Chrome or WordPress apps?

Yes. Chrome scans tech stacks in the browser; WordPress runs Domain Anchor on your site. The Claude connector lets you manage Aepto from chat. All three can Connect to the same account.

Where is the full tool list?

Consent shows “Unknown App” — what should I do?

Use the official Aepto listing, or paste exactly https://app.aepto.com/mcp with no trailing slash. The consent screen should name Aepto.
